High Meditation

high meditation
In Hinduism, through meditation, how can one tell when he or she has reached the highest state, moksha?

I am also having difficulty grasping the concept of Maya. If you could help with this as well, that would be appreciated.

It’s like asking how far up can you go. Keep going up until no direction is up any more, then, wherever you are, you are there. If you can’t tell, you haven’t reached it yet. The confusion is because, even when you haven’t reached it, you might think you have- so you should get it certified by an acknowledged master (at least, that is the Buddhist answer).

But it’s like learning karate- if you learn enough that you feel safe from muggers, why do you care if you have received a black belt? Are you doing it for you, or for them? In the case of Moksha, just keep practicing anyway.
